About Me

Hello! My name's Kalysha Clark but I usually go by Kaly (Callie) because I've been called that my whole life. I respond to either.

I am a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and a minor in Nonprofit Studies.

I am currently a Master's Student at NC State studying Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology. Part of my thesis will focus on evaluating the efficacy of conservation planning in the southeast. I am also conducting research on wildlife value orientations. I am highly interested in habitat use, movement ecology and behavior, and hope to study these during my Master's and, later, my PhD.

I am currently working on my North Carolina Environmental Education Certification.

My interests include volunteering, reading, watching Food Network and HGTV, DIY, German language, cooking, hiking, camping, and being a part of the natural world. I love to go out after it rains and search for frogs!

I currently live in Garner with my boyfriend, my four-year old German Shepherd, Axel, who I adopted in August of 2014 and our dog, Bella, who is an eight-year old shepherd mix and was formerly my parents' dog.
